Trade services
On any build, the last thing you need is another package that needs chasing. Fitted wardrobes look simple on a drawing, but on site they mean measuring every opening, coordinating finishes across plots, managing deliveries and making sure the installation is right first time, all while the rest of the programme moves on around them.
That’s where we come in. Sliding Wardrobe Warehouse has been designing, making and installing bespoke wardrobes since 1995, and we work closely with property developers, builders and contractors throughout Surrey and Sussex. We take care of the whole wardrobe package: we survey the site, design to suit each room or house type, manufacture everything in our own Dorking workshop, and install it with our own CSCS-carded team.
You get one point of contact, one team responsible for the result, and finished bedrooms that help your homes sell. Whether you’re delivering a single high-end house, a development of several plots or a renovation for a private client, you can leave the wardrobes to people who do nothing else.

What's included
When you subcontract your wardrobes to us, the whole package is covered.
Site survey: we visit the site and measure every opening, so each wardrobe is made to fit the room as built, not just as drawn.
Design: we design wardrobes to suit each bedroom or house type, with hand-drawn or CGI images so you can see the finished result and sign it off.
Specification: we confirm doors, finishes, interiors and hardware with you before anything is made.
Manufacture: every panel is cut and edged to size in our own Dorking workshop, from high-density Egger board with 2mm ABS edging.
Installation: our own installers, trained in-house and CSCS-carded, fit everything and leave it ready for handover.
The finishing pieces: as well as wardrobes, we can supply and fit bedroom furniture, dressing room interiors, media units and understairs storage, so the whole package comes from one supplier.
Because design, manufacture and installation all sit with one team, there’s no gap between the people who measured the site and the people who fit the wardrobes. If something needs adjusting, it’s our job to sort it, not yours.
For developers
Fitted wardrobes are one of the details buyers notice when they walk round a new home. A well-planned, floor-to-ceiling wardrobe makes a bedroom look finished and generous; a poorly fitted one, or none at all, does the opposite.
We work with developers throughout Surrey and Sussex to add a high-quality finish to bedrooms in new-build homes. On a development, that usually means:
Whether it’s a single executive home or a scheme of several plots, we’ll work with your site team to fit in with the build.
Show homes
Your show home has to sell the whole development, and bedrooms with beautiful fitted storage play a big part in that. We design and install wardrobes, dressing areas and bedroom furniture for show homes that look as good in person as they do in your brochure photography.
We can help you choose door styles, colours and interiors that suit your target buyers, from a crisp, contemporary look to a more traditional finish, and you can see the options at our Dorking showroom before you commit. Once the show home specification is agreed, it can become the template for the plots that follow.
Builders and contractors
Not every trade project is a development. Many of the builders and contractors we work with are renovating, extending or converting homes for private clients, and the wardrobes are one more element they need to deliver well.
Loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments often create exactly the spaces that need made-to-measure storage: sloping ceilings, eaves, alcoves and rooms that aren’t quite square. We measure every angle and build to fit, with infill panels to square up openings and doors shortened or angled beneath a slope. You can bring us in for the wardrobes alone, or for the full bedroom package, and we’ll liaise with you and your client on the design.
It’s one less specialist trade for you to manage, and a finish your client will be delighted with.
Have your own fitters? We also supply carpenters and builders with made-to-measure materials for fitted wardrobes and a range of other projects.
Send us your specification and we’ll confirm it with you, then supply panels and materials cut and edged to your requested sizes and finishes, ready for your team to install.

Specification
Every project has its own brief and budget, and we tailor the specification to match.
Our sliding wardrobes run on Komandor aluminium or Spacepro steel profiles, with two door systems: the slim, rounded Lazuryt frame and the bolder Shaker style. Infills include silver, grey and Storm Grey mirror, AGC coloured glass and decorative panels, with every mirror and glass panel compliant with BS 6206. Every sliding door carries a 10-year warranty on its movement.
Our hinged wardrobes come in over 50 door styles and almost 60 colours, from clean, flat fronts to traditional framed doors, made to measure up to 2.5m tall with soft-close hinges as standard.
Shelving, hanging rails, internal drawers on full-extension runners and shoe storage, planned to suit the home and its likely buyers, from straightforward layouts to fully fitted dressing rooms.
An almost unlimited choice of colours and finishes, plus bedroom furniture, media units and understairs storage to complete the package.
