Sliding Wardrobe Warehouse designs, manufactures and installs bespoke wardrobes and bedroom furniture from our showroom and workshop in Dorking. Since 1995 we have fitted sliding, hinged and walk-in wardrobes in homes across Surrey and Sussex, from Guildford and Reigate to Horsham and Haywards Heath.
Every wardrobe starts with your room, not a catalogue. We measure the space, draw up hand-drawn or CGI plans around the way you use it, then cut and edge every panel to size in our own workshop. Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloping ceilings and loft eaves are all part of the job, so the finished piece fits wall to wall and floor to ceiling with no wasted space.
Because we make and fit everything ourselves, you deal with the same family-run team from the first conversation to the final adjustment. There is no hand-off between a salesperson, a factory and a subcontracted fitter. That means tighter quality control, fewer surprises and one point of contact if anything ever needs attention.

Premium components come as standard, not as upgrades. Interiors and exteriors are built from high-density Egger board, and every panel is finished with 2mm ABS edging where most companies use 1mm. The result is a wardrobe that runs smoothly, resists chips and everyday wear, and still looks right years after we fit it. It is why we cover all sliding door movement with a 10-year warranty.

A family business making wardrobes in Dorking since 1995
Sliding Wardrobe Warehouse was established in 1995 and has been designing and building fitted furniture in Surrey ever since. Today our team shares more than 150 years of manufacturing and installation experience, and every member is trained in-house to the same standard.
Our showroom and workshop sit side by side at the Glebelands Centre in Dorking. You can see door finishes, interiors and working mechanisms up close, talk to the people who will actually make your wardrobe, and see where it will be built. Visits are by appointment, so we can give you our full attention.
Our installers hold CSCS cards, we are members of the Federation of Small Businesses, and we carry public, employers’ and product liability insurance, each to £5m. You can browse our completed projects or read what customers say on our testimonials page.

How much do fitted wardrobes cost?
Every wardrobe we make is bespoke, so the cost depends on the size of the space, the interior layout and the door finish you choose. Mirrored or coloured glass sliding doors, for example, are priced differently from vinyl-wrapped hinged doors. Once we have surveyed your room and agreed a design, we give you a clear written quote. How long does it take from design to installation?
Most projects follow the same route: a showroom visit, a home survey, design approval, manufacture in our Dorking workshop and installation by our own team. We confirm the timescale with your quote. [Confirm typical lead time and installation days with the client.]
Can you fit wardrobes into sloping ceilings or awkward spaces?
Yes. Because we cut every panel to your measurements, we regularly build into loft eaves, alcoves, chimney breasts and rooms with uneven walls or angled ceilings. Understairs storage is another space we make the most of.
Do you offer supply only for DIY projects or the trade?
Yes. If you are fitting the wardrobe yourself or using your own carpenter, we can design it and supply cut and edged panels, doors and fittings direct to you or your fitter. We also work with property developers and builders on new build homes across Surrey and Sussex.
Can you replace just my wardrobe doors?
Yes. If your existing wardrobe is in good condition, new sliding or hinged doors can transform the look of a room without replacing the whole unit. Bring your measurements to the showroom and we will talk through glass, mirror and panel options.
What guarantee do you give?
All sliding door movement on our wardrobes is covered by a 10-year warranty. Soft close and full-extension drawer runners come as standard, and our installers are trained in-house and hold CSCS cards.
