Wardrobes in Weybridge
Weybridge has some of the most substantial homes in Surrey, from the large houses on the St George’s Hill estate to the Victorian and Edwardian villas around the town and Oatlands. There are also period cottages near the Thames and the Wey, family homes in the surrounding roads and modern apartments close to the high street and station.
In larger homes, the opportunity is to create storage that matches the quality of the house: dressing rooms, full walls of floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and furniture designed as one scheme. In smaller homes and apartments, it’s about making every inch work. Either way, we design every piece around your room and the way you live, rather than adapting standard furniture.
Every wardrobe and piece of furniture is made in our own Dorking workshop and fitted by our own team. You can see sliding door systems, hinged styles and finishes at our showroom, which has free parking, or we can bring samples to your Weybridge home.

Our services
From a single piece of furniture to a complete dressing room, everything is designed for your room and made in our workshop.
Bedroom Furniture
Our Weybridge customers often ask us to design the whole bedroom, not just the wardrobe. We make dressing tables, chests of drawers, bedside cabinets, headboards, sideboards, shelving and media units to your exact measurements, finished to match your wardrobe doors so the room feels designed as one. A dressing table can be built into a run of wardrobes, a media unit can give a bedroom TV a neat home, and drawers run on full-extension runners with soft-close options. Come and see the finishes at our showroom.
Sliding Wardrobes
In a large bedroom, a run of sliding doors across a full wall looks clean and striking, and because sliding doors can be much wider than hinged ones, you need fewer of them. Choose our slim Lazuryt frame or the bolder Shaker style, with mirror, grey mirror, AGC coloured glass or panel infills, and mix finishes across the run for interest. Every sliding door carries a 10-year warranty on its movement. Our Lazuryt system can even be used as a sliding partition between a bedroom and dressing room.
Walk-In Wardrobes
Many Weybridge homes have the space for a dedicated dressing room. We plan storage across several walls around your clothes and accessories, with pull-down hanging rails, long and double hanging, drawers on full-extension runners, trouser racks, tie and belt racks and shoe storage, plus a dressing table if you’d like one. Leave it open or close it off with sliding doors. Sliding doors can separate it from the bedroom without taking up floor space.
Fitted Wardrobes
A fitted wardrobe built from floor to ceiling and wall to wall gives you far more storage than freestanding furniture, with no gaps at the top or sides. We build as a front frame using the room’s walls and ceiling, or as a full carcass with its own sides, back, base and lid, and plan the interior around what you need to store. In the large bedrooms of St George’s Hill and Oatlands, a full wall of fitted wardrobes replaces several separate pieces of furniture and makes the room feel calmer. Sliding or hinged doors, or a mix, in an almost unlimited choice of finishes.
Hinged Wardrobes
Framed and panelled hinged doors suit Weybridge’s period homes, giving full access to the interior and the look of fine furniture, while flat Super Matt or High Gloss doors suit contemporary interiors. Our Aspire range offers over 50 styles in almost 60 colours, made to measure up to 2.5m tall with soft-close hinges as standard. Mirrors can be fitted to the inside of doors, and handles chosen to complement the room, from traditional bow handles to slim modern bars. In a dressing room, a run of hinged doors gives the feel of a traditional fitted bedroom.
Made-to-Measure Wardrobes
Period cottages near the river, loft conversions and rooms with alcoves or angled walls all need storage built to fit. We measure every angle and build the wardrobe around it, with infill panels and shortened or angled doors, and you’ll see your design as hand-drawn plans or CGI images first. Every panel is cut and edged to your measurements in our workshop, and our own team fits the finished wardrobe so it looks as though it has always been part of the house.
For a study or spare room, we design fitted desks, shelving and storage that match the finishes of the rest of your home.
Make use of the space under the stairs with made-to-measure drawers, cupboards and shelving, built to fit the slope.
Local advice
In the larger rooms common in Weybridge, sliding doors can do more than close a wardrobe. These are some of the ways our customers use them.
1
Hinged wardrobe doors are limited to around 600mm wide each, so a long wall can end up with a lot of doors. Sliding doors run on a track and can be made much wider, giving a cleaner line with fewer joins. Our sliding door systems are available in custom sizes to suit large openings.
2
Our Lazuryt system has hidden bottom rollers, so it can be used as a sliding partition, for example between a main bedroom and a dressing room. Open, it connects the two spaces; closed, it gives privacy.
3
Across a wide run of doors, mixing mirror, coloured glass and panel infills, split with slim bars, breaks up a large surface and adds interest. Our past projects include mirror and coloured glass panels split into 25%, 50% and 25% sections across a set of Shaker doors.
4
On wide doors, the quality of the running gear matters. Lazuryt uses bearing-mounted rollers for light, quiet sliding, an anti-jump feature to keep doors in the track and buffer strips that cushion closing and help keep dust out.
Local homes
Long walls in large bedrooms: many hinged doors can look busy.
Dressing rooms that need careful planning: storage across several walls, designed as one.
High ceilings: freestanding furniture leaves the height unused.
Period cottages near the river: uneven walls and low ceilings.
Compact apartments near the station: small bedrooms where every inch counts.
Loft conversions: sloping ceilings and eaves in extended family homes.
