Wardrobes in Reigate
Reigate is a historic market town with a lot of character in its homes. Around the old town and up towards Reigate Hill, there are Victorian and Edwardian villas with high ceilings, bay windows and chimney breasts, alongside older cottages and period terraces. Areas such as Woodhatch and South Park have plenty of 20th-century family homes, while Redhill and the area around the station have a large number of modern apartments.
Each brings its own storage challenges, and that’s why every wardrobe we make is designed for one specific room. In a tall Victorian bedroom, we take the storage up to the ceiling; in a family home, we plan around the bay window and the chimney breast; in an apartment, we make every inch of a compact room count.
Our showroom and workshop are in Dorking, just along the A25, so Reigate is very much part of our local area. You can see door styles and finishes at the showroom, which has free parking, or we can bring samples to your home.

Our services
Every wardrobe and piece of furniture is designed for your room, made in our workshop and fitted by our own team.
Fitted Wardrobes
In Reigate’s Victorian and Edwardian homes, a fitted wardrobe built from floor to ceiling makes the most of the generous height that freestanding furniture wastes. Running wall to wall, it leaves no gaps for dust or clutter and gives the room a clean, finished look. We build as a front frame using your walls and ceiling, or as a full carcass with its own sides and back, and plan every shelf, rail and drawer inside around what you need to store. Choose sliding or hinged doors, or a mix, in an almost unlimited choice of finishes.
Bedroom Furniture
As well as wardrobes, we make a full range of bespoke bedroom furniture for Reigate homes: dressing tables, chests of drawers, bedside cabinets, headboards, sideboards, shelving and media units. Everything is built to your exact measurements and finished to match or complement your wardrobe doors. A dressing table can sit in a bay window, or a chest of drawers can fit an alcove exactly. Drawers run on full-extension runners with soft-close options. We deliver locally and can install anything that needs to be fitted.
Sliding Wardrobes
For the apartments in Redhill and Reigate and the smaller bedrooms of family homes, sliding doors are the practical choice because they need no space to swing open. Mirrored doors make a compact room feel bigger. Choose our slim Lazuryt frame or the bolder Shaker style, with mirror, coloured glass or panel infills, and every sliding door carries a 10-year warranty on its movement. Both systems are on display at our showroom, and Shaker doors can be shortened to sit beneath a sloping ceiling.
Hinged Wardrobes
Framed and panelled hinged doors complement Reigate’s period homes, giving full access to the interior and the look of fine furniture. Our Aspire range offers over 50 styles in almost 60 colours, made to measure up to 2.5m tall with soft-close hinges as standard. In a tall Victorian bedroom, a run of panelled doors with a cornice can take the wardrobe right up to the ceiling. Painted oak effect and woodgrain finishes suit period homes, while Super Matt colours give a fresher look. Mirrors can be fitted inside the doors, and handles chosen in brushed nickel, bronze or a slim modern finish.
Made-to-Measure Wardrobes
Chimney breast alcoves, bay windows and sloping loft ceilings all make standard wardrobes difficult to fit. We measure every angle and build to fit, using infill panels to square up uneven openings and doors shortened or angled beneath a slope. You’ll see the design as hand-drawn plans or CGI images first. Matching wardrobes can be built into both alcoves either side of a chimney breast, even when they’re different widths. Every panel is cut and edged to your measurements in our workshop.
Walk-In Wardrobes
Whether it’s a spare bedroom becoming a dressing room or a corner of a larger bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe gives you space to see everything and get ready in comfort. We plan the interior around your clothes, with pull-down hanging rails, drawers, trouser racks and shoe storage. In the larger villas around Reigate Hill, a dressing room with storage on several walls and a dressing table is often possible. In a smaller home, an alcove or the end of a long bedroom can become a compact walk-in area, open or behind sliding doors.
Working from home in Reigate? We design fitted desks, shelving and storage to turn a spare room or alcove into an office.
The space under the stairs in a period home can hold a surprising amount. We build made-to-measure drawers and cupboards to fit the slope.
Local advice
A bespoke wardrobe is a significant investment, so it’s worth asking the right questions before you choose who makes it. These are the questions we’d ask, and how we’d answer them.
1
Look for a company with a proven track record. We’ve been making wardrobes since 1995, and our team has over 150 years of combined manufacturing and installation experience.
2
Some companies buy in standard units and adapt them. We design, cut and edge every panel in our own Dorking workshop and fit everything with our own installers.
3
Check whether the company can offer every option, so you get the right one rather than the one they sell. We make fitted, sliding, hinged, walk-in and made-to-measure wardrobes, plus bespoke bedroom furniture.
4
A good company will look at your room first. Sliding doors suit smaller spaces because they need no clearance; hinged doors give full access to the interior and suit larger, more traditional rooms.
5
Ask who measures, designs, makes and fits. We handle it all: showroom visit, home survey, hand-drawn or CGI design, manufacture and installation.
6
Ask about warranties and cover. Our sliding doors carry a 10-year warranty on their movement, and we hold £5m public, employers’ and product liability insurance.
Local homes
Tall rooms in Victorian and Edwardian villas: freestanding wardrobes waste the height.
Bay windows and chimney breasts: awkward lengths of wall for storage.
Compact apartments in Reigate and Redhill: little space for doors to open.
Period cottages in the old town: uneven walls and low ceilings.
Loft conversions: sloping ceilings and eaves.
Rooms doing two jobs: spare bedrooms that double as a home office or guest room.
