Wardrobes in Leatherhead
Leatherhead sits just up the Mole Valley from our Dorking workshop, so we work here often. The town has a historic centre with older buildings around the River Mole, Victorian and Edwardian homes close to the station, and town-centre apartments. Around it, Ashtead and Fetcham have large numbers of interwar and post-war family homes, many of them detached, and plenty of houses that have been extended over the years.
That mix brings all sorts of rooms: tall period bedrooms, 1930s rooms with bay windows, loft conversions with sloping ceilings, and compact apartment bedrooms. We design every wardrobe around the room you have and the way you live, rather than adapting a standard product, so it fits perfectly and makes the most of the space.
Everything is made in our own workshop and fitted by our own team. Our showroom in Dorking is just a short drive away, with free parking, or we can bring samples to your home.

Our services
Every service is designed for your room, made just down the road in our workshop and fitted by our own team.
Walk-In Wardrobes
Many Leatherhead, Ashtead and Fetcham homes have room for a walk-in wardrobe, whether that’s a spare bedroom turned dressing room, part of a large main bedroom or a compact corner closet. Inside, we plan every rail, drawer and shelf around your clothes, with pull-down hanging rails, long and double hanging, drawers on full-extension runners, trouser racks, tie and belt racks, wire baskets and shoe storage. Leave it open for a boutique feel, or close it off with sliding doors. In Ashtead’s larger family homes, a box room next to the main bedroom often makes an ideal dressing room.
Fitted Wardrobes
In the area’s family homes, a fitted wardrobe built from floor to ceiling and wall to wall gives you far more storage than freestanding furniture and leaves no gaps at the top or sides. We build as a front frame using your walls and ceiling, or as a full carcass with its own sides and back, and plan every section of the interior around what you need to store. Sliding or hinged doors, in an almost unlimited choice of finishes. In an extended family home, a fitted wardrobe can make a new bedroom feel part of the original house.
Sliding Wardrobes
For apartments in the town centre and smaller bedrooms in family homes, sliding doors make the most of the space because they need no clearance to open. Mirrored doors make a room feel larger and brighter. Choose our slim Lazuryt frame or the bolder Shaker style, with mirror, coloured glass or panel infills, and every sliding door carries a 10-year warranty on its movement. Both systems are on display at our Dorking showroom, so you can try them before choosing, and Shaker doors can be shortened to sit beneath a sloping ceiling.
Hinged Wardrobes
Hinged doors give full access to the interior and the look of quality furniture, suiting period homes and larger bedrooms. Our Aspire range offers over 50 styles in almost 60 colours, from framed traditional doors to sleek flat fronts, made to measure up to 2.5m tall with soft-close hinges as standard. In the interwar homes of Ashtead and Fetcham, simple framed doors suit the character of the houses, while a run of hinged doors in a larger main bedroom gives a traditional fitted bedroom feel. Mirrors can be fitted inside the doors, and handles chosen to suit the room.
Made-to-Measure Wardrobes
Loft conversions, bay windows and alcoves of different widths are common across Leatherhead, Ashtead and Fetcham. We measure every angle and build to fit, using infill panels to square up uneven openings and doors shortened or angled beneath a slope. You’ll see your design as hand-drawn plans or CGI images first. Because we’re just down the road, we know the area’s housing well and can survey your room quickly. Every panel is cut and edged to your measurements in our workshop, and our own team fits the finished wardrobe.
Bedroom Furniture
We make dressing tables, chests of drawers, bedside cabinets, headboards and shelving to your exact measurements, finished to match your wardrobes so the whole room is designed together. Drawers run on full-extension runners with soft-close options, and every piece is built from high-density board in our workshop. A dressing table can sit in a bay window, bedside cabinets can be made to the exact width of the space beside the bed, and a media unit can give a bedroom TV a neat home. We deliver locally and can install anything that needs to be fitted.
Working from home in Leatherhead or Ashtead? We design fitted desks, shelving and storage to turn a spare room or alcove into an office.
The space under the stairs can hold far more than you’d think. We build made-to-measure drawers and cupboards to fit the slope exactly.
Local advice
A well-designed wardrobe is the perfect home for a capsule wardrobe, and a capsule wardrobe is one of the easiest ways to keep any wardrobe organised. This is our quick guide for Leatherhead customers.
1
A capsule wardrobe is a small collection of versatile, good-quality clothes that all work together. Instead of a packed rail of things you rarely wear, you have fewer pieces that you love and can mix and match into lots of outfits.
2
3
Start with neutral basics that go with everything: well-fitting trousers or jeans, plain tops and shirts, a good jumper, a smart jacket and a coat. Add a few pieces in colours you love, and choose shoes and accessories that work with most of your outfits. Rotate seasonal items in and out rather than keeping everything out all year.
4
A capsule wardrobe works best when every piece has a visible place. At your survey, we’ll plan the right amount of hanging, shelving and drawer space, with high-level storage for the items you rotate out each season.
Local homes
Loft conversions: sloping ceilings and eaves to build around.
Bay windows in interwar homes: awkward lengths of wall for a wardrobe.
Extended family homes: new bedrooms with different proportions to the original ones.
Compact town-centre apartments: small bedrooms where every inch counts.
Period homes near the centre: tall rooms and chimney breast alcoves.
Small second bedrooms: too tight for hinged doors to open comfortably, so sliding doors keep the floor clear.
