Wardrobes in Epsom
Epsom is best known for the Derby and the Downs, but for us it’s the variety of homes that stands out. Close to the town centre there are Victorian and Edwardian terraces and villas, many with high ceilings and chimney breasts. Towards Stoneleigh and Ewell, streets of 1930s semis and detached houses bring bay windows and rooms with their own particular shapes. And the developments built on the former hospital sites around the edge of town have added newer homes with modern, compact layouts.
Each of those needs a different approach, which is why we never work from a catalogue of standard sizes. We measure your room, talk through what you need to store and how you get ready each day, and design a wardrobe that fits the space exactly, inside and out.
Everything is made in our own Dorking workshop, a short drive down the A24, and fitted by our own team. You can see sliding door systems, hinged styles and finishes at our showroom, with free parking, or we can bring samples to your Epsom home.

Our services
From the Downs to Ewell, every wardrobe is designed for your room and made in our own workshop.
Fitted Wardrobes
A fitted wardrobe built from floor to ceiling makes the most of the height in Epsom’s Victorian and Edwardian bedrooms, where a freestanding wardrobe leaves a big empty space above it. Running wall to wall, it leaves no gaps at the sides for dust and clutter and gives the room a clean, finished look. We build either as a front frame using your walls and ceiling, or as a full carcass with its own sides and back. Inside, every shelf, rail and drawer is planned around what you need to store, and the doors can be sliding, hinged or a mix, in an almost unlimited choice of finishes.
Sliding Wardrobes
In Epsom’s 1930s semis, the third bedroom is often small, and in many newer homes every bedroom is compact. Sliding doors are the answer: they glide sideways, so you can fit a bed or chest of drawers right up to them. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors make a small room feel bigger and save space for a separate full-length mirror. Choose between our slim Lazuryt frame and the bolder Shaker style, with mirror, coloured glass or panel infills. Every sliding door carries a 10-year warranty on its movement, and both systems are on display at our showroom.
Made-to-Measure Wardrobes
Bay windows, chimney breasts and sloping loft ceilings all make standard wardrobes difficult to place, and Epsom has plenty of all three. We measure every angle and build to fit it, using infill panels to square up uneven openings, matching wardrobes for alcoves of different widths, and doors shortened or angled to sit beneath a slope. You’ll see your design as hand-drawn plans or CGI images before anything is made, so you know exactly how it will look in the room. Every panel is cut and edged to your measurements in our workshop.
Hinged Wardrobes
Hinged wardrobes give full access to everything inside and the look of quality furniture. Framed and panelled styles suit the period homes near the town centre, while flat Super Matt or High Gloss doors give newer homes a crisp finish. Our Aspire range offers over 50 styles in almost 60 colours, made to measure up to 2.5m tall with soft-close hinges as standard. If your room is tight, we’ll recommend sliding doors or a combination of both. In the 1930s homes towards Stoneleigh and Ewell, hinged doors with simple framed panels suit the period of the house without feeling old-fashioned, and handles in brushed nickel or bronze add a finishing touch.
Walk-In Wardrobes
Whether it’s a spare bedroom becoming a dressing room or a corner of a larger bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe gives you space to see everything at once and get ready in comfort. We plan the interior around your clothes, with long and double hanging, pull-down rails, drawers on full-extension runners, trouser racks, tie and belt racks, wire baskets and shoe storage. Leave it open, or add sliding doors for privacy. In larger homes around the edge of town, a dressing room can include a dressing table and matching drawers.
Bedroom Furniture
We make bedroom furniture to match: dressing tables, chests of drawers, bedside cabinets, headboards, shelving and media units, all built to your exact measurements and finished to match or complement your wardrobe doors. A chest of drawers can fit an alcove perfectly, or a dressing table can sit in a bay window, designed as part of the same scheme. Drawers run on full-extension runners with soft-close options, every piece is built from high-density board in our workshop, and we can deliver or install, whichever suits you best. In a 1930s bedroom, a built-in dressing table in the bay can be the finishing touch.
Many Epsom commuters now work from home. We design fitted desks, shelving and storage to turn a box room or alcove into a proper office.
The space under the stairs in a 1930s semi or Victorian terrace can hold far more than coats. We build drawers and cupboards to fit the slope.
Local advice
The doors are what you see, but the interior is what you use every day. A well-organised wardrobe changes how your bedroom feels and how your mornings go. These are the benefits our Epsom customers notice most.
1
When every item has a set place, with shirts together, knitwear on shelves and shoes on racks, you can see what you have at a glance instead of rummaging. Getting dressed becomes quicker and calmer, especially on busy weekday mornings.
2
Clothes crammed together crease, lose their shape and get forgotten at the back. Proper hanging space, drawers for delicate items and shelves for folded knitwear help everything stay in better condition.
3
When everything fits inside the wardrobe, it stays off the chair and the floor. A tidy bedroom is a more restful place to start and end the day.
4
When you can see everything you own, you’re less likely to buy something you already have, and more likely to wear the things you love.
5
The best interiors are planned around what you actually own. At your survey, we’ll ask how much long and short hanging you need, how many shoes and folded items you have, and design every section to suit.
6
When everything has its own place, putting clothes away takes moments, so the wardrobe stays organised instead of slowly filling up again.
Local homes
Bay windows in 1930s homes: they leave awkward lengths of wall for a wardrobe.
Small third bedrooms: too tight for hinged doors to open.
Chimney breast alcoves in period homes: uneven widths either side of the fireplace.
High ceilings near the town centre: freestanding wardrobes waste the height.
Loft conversions: sloping ceilings that standard furniture can’t use.
Compact newer homes: little built-in storage from the start.
